THE TROMPE L’OEIL

Fashion Design, Textile, and Interior Design Students collaborated for FIDM’s 2021 debut fashion show to curate a collection of a dress, chair, and textile. I had the oppertunity to design and manufacture a chair for the show. The Trompe L’oeil Chair is inspired by the boroque art period to refine the scale, shape, and purpose of the chair.

Due to manufacturing diifficulties I had to remove the back support of my chair and instead use a large piece of fabric and create a draping technique to create a The Trompe L’oeil effect.
